Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges - Colour Your World

Hi all, here's my DT card for this weeks Daisy Doodles Creative Challenge, it's entitled 'Colour your World', come and join in the challenge where the only stipulations is 'No Black or Brown'!  Easy huh?  This week I've chosen the gorgeous little cutie 'Amy', isn't she sweet?  I've had my Cuttlebug out again and used Spellbinder die for the main image shape which I have also used Spectrum Noir, Copics & Promarkers to colour, Marianne die for the flourishes and Sizzix embossing folder for one half of the backing for which I used Crafters Companion Centura Pearl card.  The background papers are also from Daisy Doodles Amy range, a fab collection with multi uses not just babies, check them out here:  Amy Papers.  It's been mounted up on a white linen A5 landscape card with some silver mirri, then finished off with some pretty flowers, ribbon and gems.  Do have a pop over to Daisy Doodles Challenge blog and join in the fun.  Happy Crafting :o)

Daisy's Image Inspirations - The Digger

Here's my DT card for this weeks Daisy Doodles 'Image Inspiration'.  I think this is a fabulous digi stamp, so versatile and can be used for boys of all ages!  I've used a 6" twisted easel card, cut around the image with a Spellbinders die, which I've then inked whilst still in the die, with Tim Holtz distress ink in wild honey, coloured the image with Promarkers and finished with bakers twine, charm and paper from my crafty stash.
Why don't you give it a go, you'll find it at a special reduced rate this week just for you at: DAISY DOODLES
Most of all, have fun!  Happy Crafting to you all :o)

Winner! Build a Flower...

I won a mini competition on Sharon Duncan's facebook page and the prize was 'Build a Flower' images, here's what I did with them.
Using very pale green Hunkydory card folded to give an A5 base, I matted gold mirri and the background sheet of flowers which I fixed mint green fine ribbon to before sticking to base card.  I then matted the flower base to mirror and stuck over ribbon, the flower sheet was then cut out and sprayed with Crafters Companion Gold Spray & sparkle before 'building'.  Iadded the larger flower to the base topper and the smaller in the corner, then finished off with a sentiment & a couple of gems from my stash.  Thanks for stopping by and do come back soon - Lynne x

On a Jammi Mission & Adorable Scorable!

Evening all, I've got a taste for crafting now here's tonights projects - your comments are welcomed.

Project 1: Hunkydory Adorable Scorable kit - I followed examples by Ann Marie with my own slant...using the cottage sheet I managed to get 2 cards by using the base topper and the decoupage separately - I like to get more for my money haha....
1.  Stepper card made using the hougie board.

 2. 6" twisted easle card.

Project 2: This is for Jammi Panda's Facebook challenge.  Fee provided us with an image sheet and information which included using just Pink & White......I've made another 6" twisted easle (hmmm is there a pattern forming here?) card matted with pink & white swirl paper edged with super sticky tape topped with pink glitter. Decoupage images cut out and triple embossed then assembled. Mounted the dragonfly & one of the flower sets onto spellbinder toppers made with pink and white card.  I have also added photos showing close up of triple embossing & glittery wings.

Thank you for dropping by - I'd be happy to receive your comments and I'd love it if you would follow my little blog :o)  Hugs Lynne x

Daisy Doodles DT Challenge

Good Morning on this 'brighter' Monday, I'd like to share with you my 2nd DT project for the Daisy Doodles Challenge. 'Sketchy'
I used black centura Pearl 5 x 5 base card, Daisy Doodles background paper Hearts and Roses (matted with red mirri, Daisy Doodles Rock n Roll Heart image printed onto super smooth card, coloured using sakura pens (forgot I had these lol), cut into the wings & curled, cut with nestie around the image & matted onto some red mirri cut with nestie. I manipulated this image to create a ribbon by reducing size, copy/pasting into position which I matted onto some black centura pearl card. For the sentiment I printed the words onto the same card as the images, matted onto more red mirri, used nesties to create shapes and added red crystal gems. More dies for the square'ish shapes, more black centura pearl card and more DD backing paper - cutting around the hearts and topped with paper roses, curled the stems using a cocktail stick, bunched together with gel glue which was hidden by the red bow et voila!...
So come along and give it a go, check out the site here and show us what you can do: http://daisydoodlescreativechallenges.blogspot.com/

Have a great day and enjoy creating!

The Mojo returns!

After a dismal week of failures, I've finally had a good day finishing off projects that yesterday I thought would end up in the bin!  Come on, we've all had those days lol - but I'm living proof you should just soldier until the creative juices return :o)  I'm happy to say they did today.
This is a little 80th Birthday card I was asked for with pink flowers....

This is a card I've created for 'We like card swaps' and this months theme is Red Roses.

I've had this Hunkydory pack for ages meaning to do the penny slider card Ann-Marie did as I think it's just the cutest image....here it is and I even tried to get one that shows it in motion!!! (get me lol)

I could play for hours with these haha!  Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee........

Well keep warm peoples - enjoy the rest of your weekend :o)

Friday 10 February 2012

Hello my luvlies, how's your day going?  Are you enjoying all the snow - bbrrrrr it's awfully cold.
Well I've finally got my act together and got down to a challenge.  This card was made using various shades of blue card from my stock including my favourite Centura Pearl from Crafters Companion.  It's an A5 base card in a light blue then matted and layered with dark blue, some lovely embossed card I've had for years (new it would come in handy lol), a strange matt foiled blue card (again no idea where I got it but knew it was worth keeping) which I have put through the cuttlebug with an Impressability from Spellbinders.  I've ruffled some pale blue lace ribbon along the bottom for interest and cut some butterflies using a Marianne die and added a couple of little 'forget me nots' to finish.

This card is being entered into the following challenges:

Daisy Doodles DT card - A Gem of a Poppy

Well here it is, my first project as DT member with Daisy DoodlesThis is the first week of Daisy's Image Inspirations. Every other Wednesday Daisy Doodles Design Team will be featuring an image. The image that is featured will be offered at a reduced price or for Free. This week Miss Daisy is offering this "Poppy"  digi image for FREE. Check out Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges Blog and see how each DT member used the image and find out how to get your free "Poppy" image.  It's really wonderful to see how many people see the same image differently.
I was given this image and thought, what can I do with it other than colouring in with pens and pencils and this is the result.  I printed the image off onto printable acetate, then using dries clear glue I added shades of glitter.  This was then allowed to dry for at least 24hrs, by which time the lovely sparkle shone through the acetate, I then cut around the image ready to mount onto my base card.  I made the base card from an A4 sheet of Snow white Centura Pearl card from Crafters Companion, folded to give an A5 card, using the Framey board from The Glitter Girls I then embossed the simple frame on the card base, then on red mirri and then on to more snow white centura pearl, mounted them up with foam pads, added the Poppy and sentiment to give the finished result.

I hope you like it, the photo doesn't quite do it justice - it is quite stunning even if I do say so myself :o)
