I'm back!

Good evening all, I've missed you guys, I've been devoted laptop finally gave in and died a few months age, well I've finally got my new laptop but now comes the headache of mastering the dreaded Windows 8......getting there slowly.
I had a wonderful day at The Big Bead Show in Sandown yesterday and came back with lots of new goodies to indulge my little habit!  Here are a couple of items made so far, do feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think.  Happy crafting xx
Here we have a big and chunky (but very light weight) double stretchy with large flower centre piece, colour is a metallic gunmetal.

This set is from a beady bag of semi precious stones bought from Jewellery Maker, well worth the money when they are available, I've hardly put a dent in the quantity.  The beads include Jade, Lapis Lazuli, Quartz, Amethyst and much more and they are not all chips and nuggets, it's just what I've used first.  This set is being entered into the Beading Friends Forever monthly challenge, why don't you join us on Facebook it's a fantastic group who are always willing to share experience and top tips, or have a look at the Group Blog at: http://beadingfriendsforever.blogspot.co.uk/

Happy Sunday.....

Can you beleive it's the last day of the Olympics!  I'm looking forward to the closing ceremony - Team GB have certainly done us all proud...........fantastic and well done to each and everyone of you.  Now we can have a little break before we welcome the Paralympic teams - Goooooooo Team GB!

Have you seen the new images from Crafters Comapion yet - The Morehead collections?  They are soooooo cute and just had to start on the Christmas collection as I'm in the mood lol, here's my makes so far, just a few simple quickies to get me going lol I hope you like them xxx

I've also been having a play with the new Kanban collection 'Christmas all Wrapped up' and here we have a couple of easel cards.

And so begins Christmas......

Good evening - how well are our Team GB doing, fair play to them all they are doing a marvellous job and should be very proud of themselves.
Now the crafting stuff.....I managed to get to our Craft Club on Friday evening and even took along some card crafting to do (much to the shock of the other girls who know me - they where expecting jewellery lol).  I thought it was time to get on with some Christmas cards given that I have bought soooooooo much Hunkydory and Kanban sets over the last few of weeks!  So here are the 4 cards I managed to complete on Friday, which has given me the 'urge' to get on and do more, I thoroughly enjoyed making these which came as the 'freebie' with the latest Hunkydory magazine...well apart from the twisted easel card which was from one of the kits.

An a5 simple card

Another A5 for the owl lovers

How to make an 8x8 card with just 1 piece of A4 base card - just crease one end at the DL size and don't trim, them just decorate to suit :o)

This is the inside of the 8x8 card above

6" square twisted easel card using Hunkydory Christmas set.
I do hope you like these and that they inspire you to give it a go - Happy Crafting xx

OMG I've actually Blogged!

Good evening, have you all got Olympic fever yet or are you fed up already?  I thought the opening ceremony was a fantastic success and would like to say a big well done to all those who helped create and performed including all those volunteers!  So let's be proud of who we are and cheer on our very own Team GB - goooo Olympiads!  This is something we can all be very proud of and show the world that GB is a fantastic island and as strong today as ever!

For anyone who bothers to follow my little blog I must apologise for my lack of posts, I've had a sudden allergy to my laptop - I just couldn't bring myself to log on at home after spending all day at my work computer lol.....well, I've had a little play with both jewellery and card making and here is my recent work, I hope you like it xxx thanks for reading and may the craft be with you!!

I'm quite please with the way these have turned out - a friend asked me to make some Special Birthday Party invites and this is the result.
