Jewellery - another 'habit'

Saturday 26th May - Beautiful Sunshine

Well the sun is shining and it's inspired me to make a little summer collection:
This one is made using the beautiful Imperial Jasper large nuggets with a contrast of Pink Shell beads and Rose Aventurine, finishing off with 925 sterling silver findings.

This fun little number is my 'Jelly Bean' collection - made up using multi colour dyed Jade nuggets and genuine Freshwater Pearls, again finished off with 925 s.silver findings.

Another 'Jelly Bean' collection, this time I used clear Quartz nuggets to emphasise the 'fun' colours in the Jade.
And for my last showcase today, Rosary beads are very much in vogue at the moment, time of year for 1st Holy Communions and Confirmations - I've had quite a lot of commissions of which this is one in Ivory.

I do hope you've enjoyed my little showcase on this sunny day - enjoy the rest of your day - big hugs to all xx Lynne

Another play:

Here's a set using Genuine gemstones again, this time it's Sardonyx ovals, cracked agate (larger rounds) and black onyx finished off with 925 sterling silver spacer beads, toggle clasp on necklace and shepherds hook earring posts, the bracelet is a stretchy.
Next it's another Shamballa Style bracelet, this time using gorgeous 2 tone glass beads instead of haematite for a softer version withthe Pink rhinestone crystal clay shamballa beads.....I've also added earrings to this one just for a change.

Wednesday 9th May

Good Morning all, I've been very remis with my postings due to illness etc but I'm pleased to say I think I'm finally on the mend - the upside is my therapy to keeping sane has been beading :o)  I thought you might like to see the results.

If you would like to make any enquiries please feel free to contact me using this site and I will get back to you.

A simple Charm Bracelet with silver colured charms and glass pearls.

Same base pearl bracelet but with different charms as are the following 3 which show the  variations with different beads/charms etc.

 Fairy and bead Bookmark

A gorgeous green glass bead set on silver coloured  chain and earring findings....bracelet is a stretchy so will fit most sizes.

 Perfect for the wedding season, this is a woven beaded glass pearls and seed bead bracelet with red montees mounted on top.  A beautiful item for bride, bridesmaids or even Mother of the Bride - I am currently making a necklace and earrings that will accompany this set so watch this space :o)

A pretty wire coiled set using my new wire gizmo - such fun.

Beautiful Brown, Amber and Champagne coloured bicone crystals in this set.

A clever Woven Ring using glass pearls and crystal rondelles on a stretchy pearl seed bead band - Big and Chunky for the seasons must have fashion and suprisingly comfy to wear.

From the moody teenager to the super cool  and gothic!  Dyed turquoise howlite skull threaded/woven Wrap Bracelet.

And the one  below is a bigger bead so more chunky for the men to wear.

Fabulous fun chunky pastel glass pearls set.....
Chunky fun stretchy bracelet with funky coloured glass pearl beads - great for those summer outfits.

Another 'Crown Jewel' style ring inspired by Kelly from 'Off the Beaded Path', she's so talented. This time using blue crystal beads and clear rondelles

The next 4 pictures are of my versions of the currently 'high fashion must haves' Shamballa bracelets using a variety of beads including rhinestone encrusted 'disco ball' beads and haematite or as in the latter 2 the resin based beads.

 Gorgeous faceted crystal rice beads, some clear, some frosted and some with a shimmer lustre covered, all in golden autumnal colours make up this 'twisted strand' set.
 Oh now I'm getting pretty into this beading malarky and have branched out into Genuine Gemstones and 925 Sterling Silver - all sourced ethically from an accredited supplier.  Here we have Red and Green Chinese Jade with Haematite tubes and silver coloured spacer beads - the earring findings and the necklace closure all all 925 Sterling Silver.
Currently my favourite:  Genuine Garnet chips, Black cracked Agate rounds (which are more like navy blue - gorgeous) and blue chinese jade, again with 925 Sterling Silver findings for earrings and necklace fastener.
A close up of the earrings with the lovely celtic knot style embelishment.

This is a gorgeous gemstone set - a multi strand chunky necklace using Citrine chips, Saronyx twisted ovals and Frosted Cracked Agate rounds with few blue glass seed beads to break up each section to show it off to the best.  925 Sterling Silver findngs.
 Stunning Fuschia Agate Drop 925 Sterling Silver earrings.
Girly gothic Pink & Cream Howlite 'Wrap' Bracelet.
 Another Shamballa 'spree' Green and Heamatite.......
White & Haematite using Pink cord.........
 This time adding genuine green chinese jade, jsut for something a bit different.

This is a lovely simple summer time  set using shell beads and bicone clear crystals.
 Another bracelet and earring set, again I've used a stretchy bracelet for the base and made the 'beady beads' using the blue glass pearls and interspaced with natural coloured glass pearls for a touch of  class.  Drop earrings with a 'beady bead' on each and on silver coloured wires.
Genuine Green Chinese Jade and 925 Sterling Silver beads and earring wires.

I just love Tigers Eye, when the light hits they are just wonderful....here again I've used genuine tigers eye and 925 silver findings.
And my last set for today is this gorgeous almost tribal multi strand set using a selection of gorgous glass and acrylic beads including hand blown glass, crystal bicones and rondelles.  Again a stretchy bracelet so will fit most (on the large side of medium).  The colours in this set are amazing, golds, ambers, browns, orange, cream - I could go on, when the light hits them it's just stunning, the photo doesn't do it justice.
Saturday 7th April
Here I am again, this could become a habit!!!  Happy Easter Saturday everyone :o)
Well I did say a few weeks ago 'if I ever say I'm going to bead weave again just shoot me!'  Well I timidly had another go AND am pleased to say it went very well but I'll leave that up to you to decide.  I didn't quite allow enough thread to do the whole bracelet in loops but I think this works with just the single row of crystals at each end of the pattern...I'll know for next time.  I'm really glad I decided to give this another go and love the effect of this one, so much so I'm going to do more in different colours and beads.  This one is made with bicone crystals (6mm & 4mm) and seed beads (don't know the size as it's from an old stash I had from card making) but they are probably not the smallest but very close!  I hope you like it, here goes.......
laid out flat is approx 18cm (without toggle)

shown as is when fastened.

Happy Easter Everyone! (Friday 6th April 2012)

I'd like to share with you my latest Jewellery makes, the 'sets' ie the first 2 in purple and blue are from a collection by Beaders Companion and are Nickel free, great for people like me who can't wear costume jewellery due to allergies - I always feel like I'm missing out on so much and could well be why I've taken to making jewellery so quickly!  Of course those who know me will know I don't do anything by halves and already have quite a sizable stash of beads, stones, danglers, findings etc etc. especially after my visit to The Bead Show at Sandown last weekend :o)  So, keep checking back to see how I'm getting on :o) and let me know what you think.

Feel free to let me know your thoughts on these as I'm just learning and need all the help I can get - oh and if you know of any jewellery making classes in the HARLOW area then please let me know.
Have a great weekend but don't eat too much chocolate!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My first attempts at jewellery making, it's becoming a bit of an addiction to be honest!  I'd put off, for such a long time, getting into this jewellery making malarky, thinking it was just something I didn't have room to explore, no matter how much interest I had in it - I caved and this is the results so far - happy days :o)
 Now this is bead weaving, ermmmmm don't think I'll be attempting this again in a hurry haha!
 My attempts are getting better and I'm finding it easier to form the wire.
    1. Awh thanks honey. You will have to post a pic of your earrings so I can see what colours they are - as you know natural stones are terrible to match as you just can't make Mother Nature do what we want lol.
