Christmas is looming

I've been giving some thought to Christmas and have made up a few items recently ie Christmas tree decorations and now a pillar candle table centre set on a glass tray, done in traditional colours of green, red and gold I have added a stretchy chacha bracelet and some tartan ribbon - the bracelet can be used as jewellery once the candle is finished with - result!

But firstly, here is yet another entry into this months challenge over at Beading Friends Forever, a beautiful Lady Luck bracelet made using wonderfully faceted crystal rondelles with AV seed beads and azure blue montees - the sparkle from this bracelet is really gorgeous, unfortunately the camera isn't really capturing it....

And here's the candle I mentioned.....all gift wrapped and ready to go.....
I was asked to make a Spiders Web hanging decoration and here it is....I think it's kinda fun!

And finally another couple of 'Goddess' style bracelets - I really love this style and I can make them in all colours and sizes.

Christmas Star

Another little make from me this weekend - my first ever beaded Christmas Decoration!  I think I'll be making a few more of these Christmas Stars in different colours....they are so sweet and I bet they really sparkle when the tree lights hit them!  I've made this using copper wire, AB crystal bicones in bronze and light smokey faceted round crystals, gold lined seed beads and glass long bugle beads and it's about 4 inches in diameter.  This is my first entry into the 2nd part of the Beading Friends Forever October Challenge.

Hope you like this as much as I do - happy crafting x

Another Lady Luck

Another entry into the Beading Friends Forever October Challenge.....I've changed the pattern slightly by using smaller beads and less seeds, the result is the same though.  I've used 6mm AB Crystal clear round beads, a pink/lilac mix pearlised seeds and amethyst montees.

Goddess and more!

I've been meaning to have a go at the goddess style bracelets but never got around to it - well this morning I'm on a roll - 3 created along with another 'Lady Luck' bracelet and my own design with the skulls and black bracelet.  Hope you like them - have a great weekend.
Gorgeous 'Goddess' style bracelet, this one is made using 8mm blue frosted glass beads and silver tone heavy jump rings with a silver coloured lobster claw claps.

Another entry for the Beading Friends Forever October challenge - this time using smaller AB clear round beads, lilac/pink mix pearlised seed beads and amethyst montees.

I'm really loving this style bracelet - its so effective, this time using bright pink glass beads and the heavy silver tone jump rings finished off with a t.bar fastener.

I've gone big and chunky on this Goddess bracelet & earring set.  12mm glass metallic beads with double large silver tone jump rings - its just stunning and the photo doesn't quite capture the effect.  I so luv this one - think it's my favourite so far.  Both items finished of with silver tone metal findings.

And finally (I've been busy this morning lol) I've had these silver skull beads for almost a year trying to think what to do with them and here's the result - a simple ladder stitch using 4mm ab black glass beads, 6mm opaque black glass beads and a silver tone t.bar fastener.  Really quite fun but expensive looking.

Have a fun weekend everyone - I'm back to do more 'makings' I've got an itch and it needs scratching.

Lady Luck

I've really enjoyed creating this gorgeous bracelet, I think the colours are so luxurious and it wouldn't be out of place in the top London Jewellers windows, even if I do say so myself.  Watch this space, there'll be more to come in different colours - well Santa is looking for special presents for special people!!  This is for this months challenge over at Beading Friends Forever  from  a video pattern shared by Honeybeads, why not come on over and join us.  Have a lovely weekend and happy beading x

Septembers Birthstone

I almost forgot this little number, created with genuine Red Carnelian which I'm told is Septembers birthstone, so very apt for this months Beading Friends Forever challenge.

Septembers Birthstone

Hello blog land, it's been awhile, I've had a busy few months with family and holidays etc etc oh my crazy life!  And now the weather has turned and it's back to cosy nights and weekends in with my beady stash!  So, I was asked if I had any Red Carnelian and could I come up with a birthday gift using it, as it's the birthstone of September - I hadn't realised this!  Here is what I created using Red Carnelian, gold stardust spacer beads and gold finished chain and findings, pictured below is a jewellery set including necklace with extender chain, bracelet & earrings.   I'm also entering this into Beading Friends Forever monthly challenge 'Anything goes'.

Wire working.......

Happy weekend everyone,  I've had a play with wire work, something I've been wanting to try for sometime now and when the challenge over at Beading Friends Forever called for a 'Pendant' of any kind I thought this is my chance to make an effort.  So here is my entry, it's a gorgeous piece of natural Amethyst which I have copper wire wrapped and woven (simple for a first timer lol) and oh boy does it hurt tender fingers....will have to get hardened and do a few more.

Hope you like it.  Call over to my Facebook page anytime and check out all my latest creations:
Well that's it for now, have a great Bank Holiday weekend.

Happy Days....

What a wonderful weekend we've actually saw quite a bit of the sun & that's got to be a positive!  Here are a few items I've been making over the last week or so along with a view of my set up when I had my first sale.  Hope you've had a fabulous holiday weekend as much as I have, now I have my son's visit to look forward to - Happy days :o)
This little beauty is using the 'shell' oil on water Kite beads with beautiful dark brown wooden beads as a showcase.  The combo looks so well together.

Another addition to my 'Mens' range, this time a simple wood bead combo.  The mens range is starting to build up well now.

This is a real 'summer stunner' stretchy is turquoise blue round beads with small blue and medium clear faceted bicone crystals, double strung with antique silver coloured connectors.

Orange tone real chunky Chacha stretchy

More stunning chunky Chacha stretchies here but this time in Pink, Black and Green tones.

AND finally my set up for the girlie night I had recently to showcase my jewellery.

Many thanks for dropping by and please come back again soon xxx Lynne xxx

I'm on a roll.......

Evening all, well I don't know what's got into me tonight but I'm full of inspiration..........7 items - must be something in the water lol.  Here's my lot for tonight, hope you like them as much as I did making them :o)
Purple glass pearls with antiqued silver (coloured) bead caps and clear crystal bicones in this chunky stretchy.

At last!  (said the hubby) men's jewellery.  Coconut shell beads with brown glass bead spacers make up this stretch necklace.  A must have summer accessory for any man.

This necklace is just stunning, I wish I could get the camera to show to full potential but no, my photography isn't that good.  Turquoise mother of pearl kite shaped beads, clear crystal bicones and silver stardust beads form the main, finished off with a silver coloured chain.  It just slips over the head so no fastener required here.

Simply gorgeous chunky stretchy, acrylic beads of different shapes in pearlised pink and silver.

Love this Mans set, milky white wooden beads that look like back bone segments & to add a contrast I've interspaced with bronze beaded balls.  Imagine how great this will look on a lovely tanned body on the beach this summer!

And finally (phew) beautiful dark wood round beads and to add to the luxury the contrast on this one is Pyrite (fools gold).

Well I think I've earned a glass of vino now, so I'll bid you farewell and goodnight and hope to see you back here again tomorrow for another instalment.

Thanks so much for dropping by - Lynne x
