Man's Best Friend

Let's not forget our much loved companions at Christmas time.....

The Craft Barn Candy

hey all, check out this Candy - fab!!!

Christmas Poinsettia Wreath

I've been thinking about hanging Christmas decorations and this is what developed......I made a start on it yesterday but it had to dry properly before I could finish it off.  I've cut out 2 hoops of heavy duty card in a wonderful Aubergine colour, I've then used a Marianne poinsettia die in 2 sizes and cut 5 of each in both the aubergine colour and to contrast I've used the rainbow shimmer silver mirri, I've also used a little snowflake punch to punch out the 'stamens' in a shimmery lemon paper.  I have then alternated the poinsettia's around one of the hoops, left a gap at the bottom to add a large silver bow and Christmas sentiment....once dry I have added a long piece of ribbon to the back of the hoop so it can be hung, then covered it up with the other hoop - which also adds to the sturdiness or thickness of the finished item, which in this case, is roughly 10" in diameter.  You could make this in any size or colour, just let your imagination run freeeeeeeee.
I do hope you like it and may want to give it a go - enjoy :o)

Pink & Blue - awhhhhh!

Hi all, me again!  2nd post for today as I've been a busy girl and I just love these new baby cards - Humphrey's Corner is just tooooooo cute.  So here goes, 2 similar A5 cards using centura pearl card stock from Crafters Companion, topped with backing papers from the CC Humphreys Corner CD, used spellbinder dies and punches for topper layers and borders, ribbon from CC, gems and candi and of course the stamped baby Jack image coloured using spectrum noir pens and copics.

I've also made a 8" square card base made from the A3 sheets of centura pearl card from CC, layered silver mirri and core'dinations card before adding borders & sentiment from Hunkydory and some gems then topped with Humphreys Corner everyday decoupage and bits from my stash.
This is it for today, lots more to do and finish so I wish you all a good night :o)

Another blog Challenge

Good morning everyone, hope the sun is shining where you are today - its quite a beautiful November day out there today!
This is my card for the latest Crafty Bloggers Network titled 'Purple, Pink & Green.  It's a DL card using lilac centura pearl card stock, a left over piece of checked purple tartan card from a Hunkydory kit, some 'Me to You' bear decoupage finished off with a sentiment from the decoupage sheet and a funky flower from my stash held on with a 'fuzzy' brad.  Hope you like my little design :o)
Hope you enjoyed your visit to my little blog and please call back again anytime, now that I'm getting the hang of this there will be new 'stuff' added regularly - happy days x

Christmas Countdown..

Hello everyone, well it's almost upon us, I'm sure everyone is on countdown now - I'm sooooooo tired of looking at Christmas cards I thought I'd have a play with my new Hunkydory kits.  So, from the Autumn Dreams collection I've made these 2 cards.  For the triptic Squirrel one I have used an A4 card blank, backed it with some of the tartan card blanks from the kit, mounted the triptic image onto some pearlised lilac card from Craftwork cards, then layered this onto some gold mirri.  Finished off with a sentiment I made by printing off and gold embossing words then used my Cuttlebug and Spellbinder dies to create the finished sentiment, finally added some gold card candi.

The 2nd card, again from the Autumn Dreams kit from Hunkydory is an 8" square card which is inspired by one of Ann-Marie's C&C demo's.  The sentiment came with the sheet of decoupage and I've just mounted this onto a Spellbinder scalloped shape to compliment.
Thanks for looking and I hope my creations will help inspire you in your next 'crafty makes'.
God bless you all xxx

Busy week and more........

Hello everyone, hope you are all well and for those of you lucky enough to have been to the NEC this week I hope you got lots of lovely crafty stash :o)  I'm determined to get to the NEC and also to Crafters Companions 'Craftaganza' next year so my savings have started (and I haven't even got my Floriday holiday out of the way yet haha).
I had my first Christmas card fair on Friday and as such was very busy all week preparing.  To be honest it was probably too early as I didn't do too well, but to put a positive spin on it, it gave me the opportunity to look at my display and make corrections and reajustments, which is what I've spent a lot of the weekend doing.
Here are a few of my recent creations, please feel free to use for your own inspiration - afterall that's what I believe Crafting is all about - sharing :o)  enjoy and have a great week.

Hi all, this is my entry for the Crafty Bloggers Network 1st ever challenge 'Keep it Simple', it's also my 1st ever attempt at a blog challenge - I think I like it haha!  I've used Joanna Sheen 'Furry Friends' cd rom and an A5 centura pearl blue cardstock, a little ribbon, mirri for layering and card candi to finish off.
