Shades of Sympathy
Hi all, this weeks Daisy Doodles challenge is entitled 'Easter', but as I'm all 'Eastered' out I thought I'd show you just how versatile a digi image can be and how it can be used in an alternate way. Also I wanted to show how a digital image could easily be altered using one of the many graphics packages around at the moment, especially if you where lucky enough to get the 'free' Craft Artist Professional disc this weekend!! I thought this image would easily adapt to a Sympathy card which are very difficult to tackle sometimes, so I've taken the Floral Cross digi image and brought it into my graphics package and changed the colour to a brown line to go with the theme I have in mind. I've then added a sentiment to match the them in the same line colour. I've printed this off onto cream card and coloured with my Spectrum Noirs and inked the edges to add a little further interest. I've then used a sheet of the Ebony Floral Papers, again changing the colour to brown in my graphics package, to blend even further I have used a brayer over this with several shades of brown inks to cover the stark white background. I have then matted all together as shown, onto an A5 brown centura pearl card base and added a punched ribbon edge which has also been brayered. So, get yourself along to Daisy's Challenge blog page and join in the fun....
This card is also being entered into Emma's Crafty Challenge - Chocolate due to it's lovely shades of chocolate ie dark, milk and white! (even thos some of it looks a little pink in this photo - it's not)
Lovely card Lynne. It's nice to see the versatility of a digi for occasions other than it was intended.
